Martin Co. grand jury indicts four
INEZ — The Martin County Grand Jury indicted four people last Thursday on charges ranging from first-degree sexual abuse to DUI.

Lee Droz, 57, of Inez, was indicted for first-degree sexual abuse on charges stemming from an alleged incident which occurred nearly 11 years ago.

According to the indictment, Droz reportedly subjected a person less than 12 years old to sexual contact on May 31, 1992.

Keith Allen Newcomb, 40, of Shelbiana, was indicted on three counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud. Newcomb is charged with two counts of attempting to obtain Hydrocodone, a schedule III controlled substance, and Diazepam, a Scheduled IV controlled substance, by knowingly misrepresenting or withholding information from a practitioner or persons authorized by law to dispense controlled substances.

Thomas Harmon, 37, of Elkhorn City was indicted on charges of fourth-offense DUI, giving a police officer a false name or address and prescription drugs not in proper containers.

Monedith Dutton of Inez was charged with third-offense DUI.

Editors note: An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but a determination by a grand jury that charges merited further judicial review.
