Left Beaver man killed in car crash
BSN Staff Report | MARTIN — A Left Beaver man died early Tuesday in a one-vehicle crash at Martin.

James D. Walker, 21, of Weeksbury, died when the vehicle he was driving hit a rock cliff at Martin, according to state police.

Walker was driving a Chevy pickup on Ky. Rt. 80 when it ran off the road, struck a guardrail and then went across the west and east bound lanes before hitting a rock cliff and overturning, according to state police. Walker was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Floyd County Coroner Roger Nelson.

The incident is under investigation by trooper John Hunt. Also responding to the scene were members of the Martin Fire Department, Kentucky Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Floyd County Sheriff's Office, Martin Police Department and TransStar ambulance.
