Cub Scouts to conduct food drive

The Cub Scouts of Pack 633 chartered by the First Baptist Church of Paintsville, in conjunction with the Bluegrass Council of Scouting, will be collecting food for the Salvation Army this month.

The collection will take place in Paintsville and Johnson County in areas near a Scoutís home.

The food drive is for food that is non-perishable. Last year, Pack 633 collected over 600 cans or packages of food that was given to the needy through the Salvation Army.

This year, a flyer from the Cub Scouts may be left on your doorknob Thursday, April 24. People who wish to give food will be asked to put their donations in a bag and hang it on the door on Saturday, April 26. The Scouts will return for the pick-up later that day.
