Register now for Wayne kindergarten
WAYNE, W Va — Wayne County Schools are in the process of registering kindergarten students for the 2002-2003 school year. A child must be five years old prior to Sept. 1 in order to attend school in Wayne County.

During the registration process, students will receive screening in the areas of vision, hearing, speech and language. Dates and locations for screening and registration are May 21, Buffalo Elementary and Wayne Elementary; May 22, Buffalo Elementary and Wayne Elementary; May 23, Lavalette Elementary and Kenova Elementary; May 27, Prichard Elementary and Kellogg Elementary; May 28, Fort Elementary and Kellogg Elementary; May 29, Fort Gay Elementary, Crum Elementary (morning), Genoa Elementary and Dunlow Elementary (afternoon); and May 30, Ceredo Elementary and East Lynn Elementary

When enrolling a student for the first time, parents must bring a birth certificate from the Office of Vital Statistics, a proper immunization record and a Social Security card. Applications to order a birth certificate are available from your school.
