Lucinda Castle, 17, of Paintsville High School, is among the 63 Kentucky high school seniors who have been chosen to receive scholarship grants from programs administered through the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation.

The recipients were selected from 531 applicants throughout the state. This is the 50th year that the Farm Bureau foundation has distributed college aid money to Kentucky students. These grants have gone to more than 560 youngsters.

Castle plans to attend Pikeville College, to major in psychology/osteopathic medicine. She is the daughter of Deborah Parsons Castle of Paintsville.
