Pre-registration for Head Start June 18
LOUISA Pre-registration will be held Wednesday, June 18, from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Louisa Head Start Center (lower Louisa Elementary School), 638- 9060, for the 2003-04 school year.

Applications will be accepted for three- and four-year old children. Children must be three years of age on or before Oct. 1 to be eligible for enrollment next fall. If you cannot visit the above classroom on June 18, call the above Head Start classroom and schedule an appointment with a family advocate.

Children who are accepted for enrollment in the Head Start Program must meet income guidelines that are set forth by the Department of Health and Human Services. Parents should bring their child's birth certificate, immunization certificate and proof of income with them.

Head Start is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services and offers an array of services, including nutritious meals, educational activities, visual, speech and hearing evaluations, health check-ups, medical and dental services, social services, parent involvement and services to children with disabilities.
