Piarist school lists honors
MARTIN — Twenty-eight students were named to the honor roll for the 2002-2003 academic year at the Piarist School, a private college preparatory high school in Martin.

Twelve students received first honors for having grade-point averages above 3.70, and sixteen students received second honors for having averages between 3.25 and 3.70.

Those students receiving first honors included seniors Henry David Kicks of Martin, Balin Loftus of Prestonsburg and Sarah Pillersdorf of Van Lear; junior Amanda Keeton of Salyersville; sophomores Ashley Gunnell of Martin and Lakita Lykins of Auxier; and freshmen Sarah Carty, Marie Dennison, and Joshua May of Salyersville, Michael Combs and Alyson Layne, both of Martin, and Dionna Hall of Paintsville.

Those students receiving second honors were seniors Molli Hail of Paintsville and Sarah Hill of Prestonsburg; juniors Matthew Francis of Prestonsburg and Hannah Goble of Auxier; sophomores Shannon Hicks, Lauren Preston and Savanna Whitt, all of Prestonsburg, Justin Erasure of Martin and Keisha Slone of McDowell; and freshmen Billy Howard of Flat Gap, Alison Maddox of Pikeville, Emily Nicole Helton, Skyler McNish, Ronnee Reynolds and Rodney Travis Tressler, all of Salyersville, and Stephanie Williams of Prestonsburg.
