Yatesville Lake Festival

The Yatesville Lake Family Jubilee Festival 2003 sponsored by the Lawrence County Arts Council and Yatesville Lake State Park will be held Saturday, June 21, at Yatesville Lake Marina from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

The event will include arts and craft booths with original handmade artwork including seasonal, decorative, primitives, jewelry, photography, candles, dolls, quilts, and much more; “new” games for Kids Tent located next to the playground area; the Musician’s Tent, where you can buy their newest CDs and merchandise and get it autographed by the artist; A Taste of Kentucky, with area food vendors selling mouth-watering meals and snacks; exhibition tents; free boat rides; and nature walks.

Admission is free.

Live “On Stage” schedule -11 a.m. - Ribbon cutting/dedication ceremony for Rocky Adkins, joined by VIP’s from city, county, and state commemorating the new Musician’s Stage. Also, this year’s winner of the Yatesville Lake Family Jubilee Poster Contest.

Noon - 12:30 p.m. and 3:30-4:00 p.m. - Endless Highway (contemporary folk); 12:30 p.m. - Lo Ground (southern rock); 1:30 p.m. - Teddi Leigh (gospel); 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.and 4- 5 p.m.; Sofa King Deluxe (blues); 5:00 p.m - Bottomline (bluegrass/gospel); and 6 p.m. - Night Train (rock/mixed)

So mark your calendars for the first day of summer (Saturday, June 21) for “The Biggest One-Day Festival in Lawrence County.”

Load up your friends and family, grab the lawn chairs or a blanket, come early and plan on spending the day.
