The families of Wilford Spradlin, Timothy Justice, and Delphia Harmon Jackson have our sympathy.

A large crowd attended the Brown and Blanton reunion Saturday at Paintsville Lake. All had a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Blair of White Oak visited Elaine Brown on Thursday.

Darrell Brown visited Derek Caudill Monday, while he was showing a horse.

Mr. and Mrs. Danny Pierson and children, Whitney, Zachery, and Emily; Tara Harod; Jandon Coffee; Teresa Deel and children, Michael and Cory; Debbie Reichert and daughters, Lindsey and Taylor; Morgan Radford; Mr. and Mrs. Tracie Moore and daughter, Angela; and Dustin Moore and son, Austin; were the Sunday morning guests of Elaine Brown and son, Darrell. Others visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Garry Gilkerson of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brown; Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Roltson and Kylie; Aileen Wallen; Debbie and Bill; Lavonna and Mike; and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Brown, all of Ohio.

Almeada Blair was the Sunday guest of her sister, Peggy Baldwin ad Mitchel.

Mr. and Mrs. James E. Baldwin and sons, Michael and Terry; and Elaine Brown attended Church at Buffalo United Baptist Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger O’Bryan were the guests of Elaine Brown and Darrell, Monday.

Gene May, Dewey M. Mullins, Kenny Preece, Claude Mollett and Carter Williams were all in a union meeting at Mud Fork Church in West Virginia Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Brown and daughters, Jenna, Kyla, and Laken, of Tipp City, Ohio, were the Saturday night guests of his mema, Elaine Brown and his dad, Darrell.

Zuetta Scott visited her daughters, Carole Caudill and Pam Baldwin and families; and Elaine Brown Sunday.

Kersha Smith and Michelle Varney were the guest of Elaine Brown Monday afternoon.

Megan May, Courtney, Cassy and Cory Blair, and Cathy and Hobert Blair, went to Dollywood Tuesday.

Tom Scott is in an Ashland hospital and had surgery Wednesday.

Randal O’Bryan and Melvin Baldwin visited Mr. and Mrs. James E. Baldwin and Mr. and Mrs. Mitchel Baldwin Tuesday.

Estell Ratliff was the Tuesday afternoon guest of Drew Blair.

Retta Baldwin and Tony; Marshelia and children, Susan and Zachery visited Elaine Brown recently.

Congratulations to Susan Baldwin of Asa Creek for placing second in Alternate Competition Middle Division at International Competition at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn. The Paintsville Independent Middle School and juniors FPS teams left for international competition in Storrs, Conn., Wednesday, June 4, and returned Monday, June 9. The middle school FPS team members include Maggie Heaberlin, Brittany Pelphrey, Laura Fields, Emily Lemaster, Beth Taylor and Susan Baldwin. The junior FPS team members include Billy Slone, Madison Wheeler, Sarah Smith, and Kristina Ward. Also competing in scenario writing at internationals was John Compton.

Tom Scott is in King’s Daughters’ Medical Center, Ashland and will have surgery Thursday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. James L. Baldwin, Mark and Amber, were the Friday until Monday guest of their daughter and sister, Melissa Lemaster and family in Carollton.

Daniel Spurlock spent Monday and Tuesday night with Jason Jude.

Happy 12th anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Junior (Polly) Howard, 15th; Happy 30th to Mr. & Mrs. Clayty (Kay) Thompson, 16th; Mr. & Mrs. Charlie (Brenda) Kirk 17th; Happy 11th to Mr. & Mrs. Kay (Renesa) Pigmon, II, 20th. Hope these couples have many more happy years together.

Visiting Vikki Wallace, and children, Roxana, Keith and Tabitha, was Mr. & Mrs. Brian (Tammi) Thompson and Tessa; Darlene Jude and Jason. Tessa spent the night with Vikki and family.

Mr. & Mrs. Randall Jude and Jason visited Mr. & Mrs. Minifee (Dixie) Stacy and daughter, Diane, recently.

Glad to hear Wilva Ball is home from the hospital. Hope she recovers each day.

Sorry to read that Heston Funeral Home will be closing its doors one day this week. I hate to hear or see a business close.

A surprise birthday party was given to Wanda Sue McKinster, Saturday, June 14th, at Spencer Church. She received some nice gifts.

Thought of the week: Live as if Jesus died yesterday, rose this morning, and is coming back at any moment.
