Stanton Corn Festival set for Aug. 2-3

The 14th annual Stanton Corn Festival, offering some of the best of Kentucky handmade crafts and music, will be held Saturday, Aug. 2 and Sunday, Aug. 3 in Stanton.

The musical concerts will be featured on MainStage and are free and open to the public. The entertainment runs continuous both dates. All crafts exhibits are open on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Along with various craft demonstrations, there will be special events throughout both days. Saturday morning will begin with a 5-K Run. There will be youth and teen beauty pageants which will be open participation. Sunday will offer a car show.

The Stanton Municipal Park is located off the Mountain Parkway at Exit 22. Just follow the large ears of corn painted on the streets leading to the Festival. The park is disability accessible including restrooms. The exhibit area is completely shaded by large trees.
