Pinkerton-Young



The family of Milt and Hermia Pinkerton Young will hold its annual reunion Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Yatesville State Park Marina Shelter. Participants will meet at noon and dinner will be at 1 p.m. Watch for signs on Kentucky Route 3. Everyone is invited to attend.



Lester, Cordle, Sparks, Bishop, Wheeler and Boggs



The Lester, Cordle, Sparks, Bishop, Wheeler, and Boggs reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 31, at Nettie (Nicholas County), W.Va. Folding chairs, old photos, and covered dish are appreciated but not required. There is no cost to those attending. Childers (Childress)



The Childers (Childress) family reunion will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, in Prestonsburg at Dewey Dam Picnic Hollow Shelter House #3. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and lunch will be around noon. Families should bring a covered dish and a cooler of cold soft drinks. Flatware, plates and napkins are provided. Those wishing to bring an item for the auction, please bring a wrapped gift. This year’s theme is “School Days” so everyone is encouraged to bring an old school picture, old pictures of schools, documents, books, etc., for display. Williams-Reed

Sparks



The descendants of William and Elizabeth Sparks will hold a reunion Sunday, Aug. 31, and Monday, Sept. 1, at the homeplace on Yellow Creek Road, located at Clifford in Lawrence County. All family and friends are welcome.
