PCC, Mayo implement new tuition plans

Prestonsburg Community College and Mayo Technical College has introduced an interest/finance free monthly payment plan that students can use when paying their tuition.

Called FACTS, the plan allows students to make payments by either automatic bank payments or by charging the cost to their VISA or MasterCard. This system requires students to have a personal checking account, or have access to another party’s account as long as that party is willing to sign an agreement with the student.

FACTS charges a $25 per semester nonrefundable fee to enroll participants in the program. There are no other charges.

Students who participate in the program can have their payments spread over a 4-month period, according to John Herald, Dean of Business Affairs.

Students who have been approved for financial aid are not eligible to participate in the program, since their payment of fees will be automatically extended until aid is received.

Students may sign up for the program at any PCC or Mayo location.
