Arts council to raffle grandfather clock

by Maureen Dosier | Lawrence County Arts Council

The Lawrence County Arts Council is sponsoring a raffle to generate income for future cultural arts programming. The prize is a handmade grandfather clock.

This beautiful clock is made out of natural cherry wood, stands 6 feet tall, has an easy to read face with Roman numeral numbers and is embellished with an art deco design in each of the four corners. The pendulums are brass and the clock chimes on the hour with a 30 day key wind clock mechanism, key included. It is an original design, handmade and donated by Ed Bradley, a talented woodworker, and LCAC member.

It would be a wonderful addition for years to come to your home or office or what a fabulous gift to someone special. Take a chance to own this lovely one of a kind Grandfather Clock by purchasing a raffle ticket for $1. Please keep in mind the more tickets you purchase the better your chances of winning. You can buy your raffle tickets at the Lawrence County Library (where the clock is on display), through a LCAC member or contact me directly at 638-1010 or by email at maure@foothills.net.

LCAC is hoping to select and announce the Grandfather Clock winner during Septemberfest.

This raffle is a 100 percent direct donation to the Lawrence County Arts Council. Please support the arts in our community and buy as many tickets as you can afford.

Funded in part by a grant from the Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency of the Education, Arts and Humanities Cabinet.
