Applications available for beef handling project

PAINTSVILLE The Johnson County Conservation District announces the Johnson County Beef Handling Facilities Project.

The project is at a 50 percent cost share rate with a maximum of $1,000 per landowner. Cost share funds are administered to improve net farm income of livestock producers through improved cattle handling facilities and to promote efficient management of livestock and animal health.

Applications are available from the district office and can be picked up Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or can be faxed or e-mailed. Applications will be accepted in person only.
