Job Corps seeking female recruits

PRESTONSBURG — Job Corps is recruiting motivated females ages 16 to 24 to enroll in its job training and education program at seven centers located throughout Kentucky.

Job Corps is the nation’s oldest and largest residential job training program for economically disadvantaged youth. This program is free for eligible students and includes benefits such as vocational, academic and life skills training, room and board, health care and a living allowance.

While on center, each student works with Job Corps staff to develop an individualized career plan to ensure his or her success. Kentucky’s Job Corps centers offer more than 40 trades such as culinary arts, construction, network cabling, computer repair, business/clerical or health occupations.

Job Corps has a center located in Prestonsburg.
