The students learned that the season is fall because the leaves are changing colors and falling from the trees. They also learned that fall is the season when farmers harvest their crops pumpkins, apples and gourds all grow in the fall. The class learned that jack-o-lanterns are made from pumpkins. and there are many different foods made from apples, such as apple pies, apple butter, apple stack cake, candy apples and apple sauce. The class made apple sauce in the room and ate it with graham crackers.
