PBH employees recognized

PAINTSVILLE Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center recognized 17 of its employees Tuesday, Dec. 2, for outstanding service to the hospital and its patients.

Honored as Supervisor of the Quarter was Tammy Pack of the business offIce. Gwen Miller, LPN, was selected as Nurse of the Quarter while Mike Lazar was recognized as Employee of the Quarter.

Yearly winners, announced by Paul B. Hall's administrator and CEO, Debbie Trimble, were Scott Souther, Supervisor of the Year; Marlene Maynard, RN, Nurse of the Year; and Mike Lazar, Employee of the Year.

Each employee selected for quarterly or annual awards received an engraved plaque and a cash gift. Yearly winners are automatically nominated for similar awards to be given in January by the hospital's parent company, Health Management Associates, Inc.

Those honored for performing above and beyond what their job descriptions call for become members of the Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center 110% Club. Those recognized for this recognition were Ken Crawford, ORT, Scott Stewart, RN, and Kent Preece, RN, of the hospital's surgery department; Rebecca Fraley, RN, and Susan Spurlock, RN, of the SCU department; Cynthia Spradlin, RN, Kim Connors, RN, and Anita Hall, NA, of the surgical floor; John Mitchell, respiratory therapy; and Mary Burchett, Lee Music and Teresa Spradlin of the purchasing department.
