Girl Scouts hoping cookie buyers will 'share'
With the arrival of the annual Girl Scout Cookie Sale comes a way to share the sweet joy with others. Welcome to the "Operation Milk & Cookies" community service project.

This year, Girl Scouts will be sharing their traditional treats with local food bank, Fishes and Loaves, through "Operation Milk and Cookies." This community service project will give cookie customers the opportunity to purchase at least one additional box of Girl Scout cookies to share with someone who is unable to purchase them.

Local Girl Scout troops have chosen the food bank in their community they want to support through cookie donations. So when a Girl Scout asks for a cookie order, she may also ask the cookie customer to share the sweet joy of Girl Scout cookies by buying a box to donate to the local food bank.

When the Girl Scout cookies are delivered in February and March, the troops will visit with their chosen food bank and deliver the donated cookies. Purchasing Girl Scout cookies really helps girls, and the local community, grow strong.
