Delong named to All State Concert Band
INEZ One Sheldon Clark High School trumpet player was selected to be a part of the All State Concert Band, and seven other students were selected to the All District Band.

Dustin Delong, a senior trumpet player at Sheldon Clark High School in Martin County, was selected for the Kentucky Music Educator's Association All State Concert Band.

Delong auditioned at the regional and state level for this honor and competed against several hundred other trumpet players across the state to receive a spot in the All State Band.

Delong will travel to Louisville in February for four days to rehearse and perform with the All State Band.

Delong, along with six other students also recently auditioned for and placed in the All District Band. The six other students included a junior, Elizabeth Horn, who plays the flute; freshman, Rebecca Goble, clarinet; sophomore, Clyde Perry, clarinet; senior, A.D. Maynard, clarinet; Junior, Paige Preece, saxophone; and junior, John Crum, on the trumpet.

The All District Band is made up of students from over 10 counties in eastern Kentucky.
