Because of incorrect information received, a story about three students from Louisa Middle School charged with arson after being caught at the middle school setting fire to a bathroom contained an error.

The students were Lawrence County High School students who were at the middle school to use the telephone. While they were there, they sprayed cologne on paper and lit it in the bathroom then ran out of the building.

Two students were apprehended by Assistant Principal Randy Keeton.

They, along with a third student, are being charged for several incidents involving trying to start fires at the high school as well.

In a story Friday concerning Jason Aaron Tackett being charged with assaulting his mother, statements Tackett made to Kentucky State Police trooper Rick Conn claiming to have some type of influence with Floyd County District Judge James R. Allen, were noted on the arrest citation to inform court officials what type of brags Tackett was making. The trooper's written account of the incident was not intended to indicate the judge could be swayed, according to Conn.
