Resume, job skills workshop offered
SANDY HOOK With the prison scheduled to open in Elliot County later this year, Sarah's Place Women's Resource Center in Sandy Hook wants to help residents enhance their efforts in getting a job.

The resource center is offering a one-session, three-hour workshop to help them produce three resumes with cover letters, post job applications on the Internet, and conduct Internet job searches.

Applications for employment at the prison will be available to workshop participants. In addition, participants will be entitled to three free follow-up visits to the computer lab after their initial session. Each session will be individualized to meet the participant's needs.

All participants will need to come in to Sarah's Place to pick up a workshop packet prior to their appointment time. A minimum of 2 - 5 people is needed. Call (606) 738-4270 for more information or to schedule a workshop.
