01/05/2007 - LOUISA — Paula Hayes, RN, CNOR, has recently joined Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa as the director of obstetrical services, according to Chief Executive Officer Greg A. Kiser, MHA.

"As CEO of Three Rivers Medical Center, I am very pleased about having Paula Hayes return to our facility," Kiser said. "She brings a wealth of nursing knowledge and obstetrical experience in the management of the Obstetrics and Nursery Department. Hayes will be an excellent asset in leading the department forward."

A previous TRMC employee, Hayes comes back to the hospital from Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, where she was employed as the supervisor of the obstetrics–newborn nursery. She has management and staff experience with medical/surgical services, pediatrics, surgery and obstetrics amounting to over 16 years of service in the nursing profession.

She graduated with an associate degree in nursery from Ashland Community College and obtained her obstetrics nursing certification.

Hayes is a life-long resident of Lawrence County. She and her husband, Tim, son, Timothy, and daughter, Ashley, reside in the Louisa area. She is active in her community with the Belles Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and the Lawrence County High School baseball program.

"I'm pleased to call TRMC my home again," she said. "TRMC has the special ingredients of a caring and family environment that makes me proud to be a part of the management team and the obstetrics department for this great community hospital."
