Blankenship named director of quality and risk management

01/10/2007 - PAINTSVILLE — Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center has announced the appointment of June Blankenship, RHIA, as director of quality and risk management at the Paintsville primary care facility.

Blankenship has served for more than eight years as director of health information management at Paul B. Hall.

She is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in medical record administration and for two decades has served in health information management positions in Pikeville, Elizabethtown and Lexington prior to joining the administrative staff of Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.

In her new position, Blankenship's responsibilities will include direct oversight for the quality of care and risk management at the hospital.

She is a registered health information administrator and is licensed by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Blankenship is a member of both the AHIMA and the Kentucky Health Information Management Association.

Blankenship is married and has two sons attending Johnson County schools.

In announcing Blankenship's appointment, PBH CEO and administrator Deborah Trimble said, "We are fortunate to have someone as experienced in the strict hospital protocols for quality care and risk management as June available for this position. She will serve our patients and their physicians extremely well.
