Louisa United Methodist offers cookbook for sale

01/17/2007 - LOUISA — Louisa United Methodist Church's fund-raising committee for the construction of the new Louisa United Methodist Church have compiled an ancestral cookbook for sale.

The cookbook is unique as it has two fronts and no back. One section entitled, "LUMC Heavenly Scents from Grandma's Kitchen," features recipes from LUMC ancestors while the other section, named "LUMC Heavenly Scents from Our Kitchens," contains recipes from current recipe files. Both sections of the cookbook are dedicated in memory of Nadia Sullivan.

Also contained within the cookbook are many stories about LUMC's ancestral cooks as well as stories about some of LUMC's current cooks.

The large cookbook consists of about 300 pages and sells for $20. To reserve a copy of the cookbook, contact Clara Elkins at 606-673-3701, the church at 606-638-4404, or by e-mailing Minnie See at uksee@netscape. com.
