Watercolors to be raffled in March

01/24/2007 - LOUISA — The Lawrence County Arts Council is raffling two framed and matted watercolors as the current fundraiser. One is a print of the local courthouse from the 1950s and the other is an original winter scene of a farm with goats and a fawn.

Both can be viewed at the Lawrence County Library, raffle tickets are on sale at the same location and cost $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held Saturday, March 24, and you don't have to be present to win.

This month, LCAC volunteers will start painting an 8' x 8' quilt block for the community's Clothesline Quilt Project.

LCAC's Watercolor Guild now has watercolor prints, note cards and calendars for sale at the Country Music Highway Museum in Paintsville.
