11/02/2007 - STUDENTS AT THE Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center in Prestonsburg made a special effort during "National Make A Difference Day" on Friday, Oct. 26 at Paintsville Lake. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, partnering with Paintsville Lake State Park, was provided volunteer labor by students from the Perkins Job Corps Center. Work efforts included trash pickup and additional mulching, and trail maintenance to areas located at and around the Paintsville Lake Damsite. The students had a picnic lunch at one of Paintsville Lake State Park's shelters prepared by the Job Corps Center staff.
