Lawrence board honors Siembors

11/02/2007 - LOUISA — Major Gary Siembor, JROTC instructor at Lawrence County High School, was recently honored by the Lawrence County Board of Education for his selection to the Cambridge Who's Who.

Inclusion in this registry is limited to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and achievement in their industry or occupation. The registry is a detailed compilation of biographies of executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs in virtually every industry and career field.

Siembor is recognized for his combination of honored military service, his current educational contributions and commitment to his community. Besides being an instructor at LCHS, he also volunteers for a number of community organizations. Siembor is on the Board of Schools R Us and was president of his parish council for four years. He works closely with the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars to honor service members. He and his students work closely with St. Jude's Church in their Thanksgiving and Christmas programs for families needing assistance.

Siembor's wife, Ms. WaWa, was also recognized for her voluntary contributions to the JROTC program and students and for her extra work and efforts on behalf of Lawrence County students. The school board and community members in attendance gave her a standing ovation in appreciation for her commitment to students.
