Selected for honors during the final quarter of 2007 were Jason Wireman, RN, emergency room nurse manager, recognized as Supervisor of the Quarter; Sharon Borders, RN, a nurse on the hospital's second floor surgical unit, honored as Nurse of the Second Quarter; and Tammy Childers, an employee of the Paul B. Hall business office, selected as Employee of the Quarter.

In the same ceremony, three employees were honored as annual awardees. They were Danny Lucas, RN, night house supervisor, recognized as Supervisor of the Year; Karen Bradley, RN, second floor surgical nurse, selected as Nurse of the Year; and Jennifer Simpkins of Paul B. Hall's laboratory, honored as Employee of the Year for 2008.

Annual honorees have been nominated in their categories for consideration as Annual Health Management Associates (HMA) corporate employees and will compete against similar nominees from other HMA hospitals.

"It is very difficult to express my personal appreciation and pride in these outstanding employees of Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center," said Deborah Trimble, president and CEO of Paul B. Hall. "We have one of the most remarkable nursing, administrative and support staffs of any hospital in Eastern Kentucky or within HMA. I am inordinately proud of them."

Each honoree received a plaque and a bonus in recognition of their selection.
