TRMC honors four Employee of the Quarter recipients for '07


Announces employee, clinical and non-clinical managers of the year

02/01/2008 - LOUISA — Three Rivers Medical Center honored a number of employees during its annual awards dinner recently.

Chief Executive Officer Greg A. Kiser and Director of Human Resources Patton R. Hart conducted the awards program with the assistance of Chief Financial Officer Marcus Conley and Chief Nursing Officer Cathy Heston.

Four outstanding individuals were honored as Employee of the Quarter recipients for the past year. They included Tammy Carroll of obstetrics, Judy Layne of central scheduling, Jo Etta Dixon of emergency and Kyle Mills of critical care.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the Employee, Clinical Manager and Non-Clinical Manager of the Year for the hospital.

Judy C. Layne of central scheduling was honored as the 2007 Outstanding Employee of the Year. Layne has been with the hospital since June 4, 2001, and serves as the central scheduler. In being selected as Employee of the Year, Layne will be going to Nashville, Tenn., to attend a company-wide banquet with Community Health Systems, Inc. in February as part of the celebration honoring the 2007 company award winners.

Glenna Crum, who is the director of the clinic's operations was honored as the Non-Clinical Manager of the Year for 2007. Crum has been employed with the hospital since April 5, 1977, and served in various clerical, supervisory and management positions.

Leslie Wellman was selected as the Clinical Manager of the year. Wellman has been with the hospital since June 12, 1988, as a radiologic tech prior to becoming the director of diagnostic imaging services in January 2003.

Service awards for three years of service to TRMC were presented to the following recipients: Amy Campbell, Jillian Cantrell, Julie Case, Dr. Corazon Chua, Tammy Cline, Leigh Anna Crabtree, Mechele Deffinbaugh, Charlyn Davis-Hager, Dana Early, Johnny Ferguson, Wendy Frazier, Andrea Hammond, Dawn Jordan, Gary Lockhart, Carl McCoy, Victor Penix, LaShea Preece, Jessica Pyles, Brenda Rasmussen, Abigail Ratliff, Jennie Salyer, Lyndella Smith, Jacqueline Robinette, Renee Swafford, Tamara Ward, Barbara Washington and Karen Wolfe.

Award recipients for five years of service included Valerie L. Bryant, Andrea Burchett, Roberta Coldiron, Angela J. Colloins, Angela Cordle, Amanda Crum, Carolyn G. Damron, Kerrie Davis, Kathy L. Ferguson, Eric Fluty, Penny Holbrook, Kathy Kearns, Kelly Martin, Martha Moore, Carol Pack, Jennifer Johnson and Dr. Muhammad Aslam.

Awards for 10 years of service were presented to the following employees: Mary Cook, Freeda Gibson, Jason Maynard, Valerie Music, Patricia Pannell, Beverly Ratliff, Phyllis Robertson, Daniel Wellman, Diane Vanhoose, Shirley Vanhoose, Christy Vanhorn, Jon Wells and Jenny Wilhite.

Service awards for 15 years were presented to the following employees: Kim Alley, Helen Blankenship and Debra Plummer.

Donna Childers, Glennis Davis, Belinda Cyrus Fraley and Greg A. Kiser were presented service awards for 20 years of service to the facility.

The following employees were honored and extended special tribute for 25 years of service to the hospital: Sandra Blankenship, Linda Leach and Wanda Scaggs.

Glenna Crum and Dian Ratliff were also honored with appropriate recognition as 30-year award recipients for their service.
