Reddit down for thousands of users, Downdetector shows

NEW YORK – Reddit was down for thousands of users on Thursday, a day after the social media company said it fixed a bug following a recent software update, according to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com.

According to Reddit, the company had fixed a software bug that prevented thousands of people from accessing the social media platform on Wednesday.

Reddit did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
